Project Name: Implementation of High-Pressure UPVC Well Casing Systems for Rural Community Water Access
Project Location: Rural Municipalities, Guatemala, Central America

Project Overview: This project involved the construction of sustainable groundwater extraction points to provide a reliable clean water source for local communities in remote areas of Guatemala. Due to the specific geological conditions and the depth required for the wells, the project demanded a casing solution that could withstand significant external pressure while remaining immune to the corrosive nature of the local soil and groundwater chemistry.
We supplied a specialized series of high-tensile UPVC borehole pipes and screens designed specifically for deep-well applications. Unlike traditional metal casings, our UPVC solution was selected to ensure a lead-free, non-toxic water supply with a projected service life of over 50 years without rust or scale buildup.
Our Value & Project Impact:
-
Material Integrity: We provided UPVC pipes with precision-machined threading, ensuring leak-proof joints that could handle the mechanical stress of vertical installation in deep boreholes.
-
Logistical Support: Recognizing the remote nature of the site in Central America, our team coordinated specialized packaging to prevent site-delivery damage, ensuring the pipes arrived ready for immediate installation.
-
Sustainability: By choosing a corrosion-resistant polymer over steel, the local community avoids the long-term costs of well rehabilitation and pump failure caused by rust particles.
-
Community Outcome: The successful completion of these wells has stabilized the daily water supply for hundreds of households, reducing the reliance on seasonal surface water and improving overall public health standards in the region.
