Project Name: Regional Agricultural Water Management and PVC Irrigation Network
Project Location: Banjul outskirts and rural farming clusters, Republic of The Gambia
Project Overview: In The Gambia, consistent agricultural productivity is heavily dependent on efficient water management during the dry season. This project focused on replacing open-channel irrigation and aging metal systems with a modern underground PVC pressure piping network. The primary objective was to minimize water loss through evaporation and seepage while ensuring a steady supply to various vegetable and grain cultivation plots. The project required materials that could withstand high ambient temperatures and be easily handled in areas with limited heavy machinery.
Our role was to supply high-strength PVC-U pipes and specialized irrigation fittings designed for long-term outdoor and underground durability in tropical climates.

Optimized Flow Efficiency: Our PVC-U pipes feature a mirror-smooth internal surface that minimizes friction loss. This allows local solar-powered pumps to move water more efficiently over longer distances with lower energy consumption.

Thermal and UV Stability: We provided PVC formulations specifically stabilized for high-temperature environments. These pipes maintain their structural integrity and impact resistance despite the intense West African sun and heat cycles.

Economic & Resource Sustainability: By transitioning to a closed-pipe system, the farms involved reported a significant reduction in water waste. This project has stabilized local crop yields, providing a more consistent food supply and supporting the livelihoods of rural farming communities.
