Doorway measurement
- Width of the Doorway
Measure horizontally the distance between the left and right sides of the doorway, using five or more measurement points. The smallest value (minus the allowance for door frame adjustment) represents the outward width dimension of the door frame.
- Height of the Doorway
Measure vertically the distance between the top and bottom of the doorway, using three or more measurement points. The smallest value (considering the allowance for door frame adjustment) represents the outward height dimension of the door frame.
- Thickness of the Doorway Walls
Measure the thickness of the walls horizontally, using five or more measurement points. The maximum value represents the thickness of the walls. If the walls require renovation, the thickness of additional renovation materials should be added to the doorway wall thickness.
