Project Overview: In many rural areas of the Philippines, providing a stable water supply is complicated by rugged terrain, high humidity, and the risk of seismic activity. This project involved extending the reach of potable water from upland sources to lowland residential clusters. The challenge was to find a piping material that was light enough to be transported to remote mountainous sites where heavy machinery could not reach, yet durable enough to withstand high external pressure and potential ground movement.
We provided high-performance HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) pipes, prioritizing a balance between flexibility for installation and long-term structural reliability.

Seismic and Ground Movement Resistance: Given the Philippines’ geographical location, our HDPE pipes were selected for their high ductility. They can bend and flex with ground shifts without cracking or leaking, ensuring the network remains operational after minor tremors.

Logistical Adaptability: We supplied the pipes in large-diameter coils for smaller sizes and manageable lengths for larger diameters. This allowed for easier transport via smaller vehicles and manual handling in areas with restricted road access, significantly reducing transportation overhead.

Corrosion-Free Longevity: Unlike traditional galvanized or cast iron pipes that suffer from internal scaling and external corrosion in tropical climates, our PE100 pipes maintain a consistent flow rate and hygiene standard over a 50-year design life.

Community Health Impact: The successful deployment of this network has replaced unreliable local wells with a pressurized, treated water system. This has drastically improved the daily lives of thousands of residents by providing safe, consistent access to clean water at the household level.
