Project Location :Ouagadougou and surrounding urban districts, Burkina Faso, West Africa.
Project Overview:Burkina Faso faces significant challenges in water resource management due to its semi-arid climate and rapid urban growth. This project aimed to improve the stability of the municipal water supply in key urban areas by replacing aging, leaking infrastructure with a modern, leak-proof HDPE network.
Our involvement focused on the supply of PE100 High-Density Polyethylene pipes, specifically selected for their high Strength-to-Weight ratio and resistance to the region’s intense soil temperatures and fluctuating pressure demands.

Tailored Material Durability: Given the harsh environmental conditions in West Africa, we provided PE100 pipes with enhanced UV resistance and thermal stability. This ensures the network maintains its structural integrity over a 50-year design life, despite the high ambient temperatures.

Reliable Logistics & Support: Managing a large-scale project in a landlocked country like Burkina Faso requires meticulous logistics. We coordinated the delivery to ensure the pipes arrived in optimal condition, providing comprehensive technical documentation for the butt-fusion welding process to ensure zero-leakage joints.

Improving Community Resilience: The project has significantly reduced the rate of “Non-Revenue Water” (water lost to leaks). By stabilizing the flow and pressure, the network now provides a more consistent and hygienic water supply to thousands of households, supporting both public health and local economic development.
